Safe for your Engine

We design our maps for high performance with long term reliability. Our tunes are designed for cars with standard service intervals. Whilst a "race" map might sound attractive, racing teams have to rebuild their engines every few weekends....

Your Volkswagen has performance waiting to be unlocked - release its full potential with Bluespark.

Most models in the Volkswagen catalogue are covered by only a few separate engines –  yet between engines of the same capacity there are huge differences in performance. The main difference between these engines is not hardware but in fact the software programmed to each engine's ECU. Fitting a Bluespark tuning module to your Volkswagen will usually increase engine power than the next up the Volkswagen range, whilst costing far less.

Bluespark Pro Petrol - VW Scirocco 2.0 TSI 180PS

Wow, what can I say but thank you for the box for my scirocco 180ps! Thank you for taking the time to talk to me last week to. Well I tried the C setting and nice and smooth, after the advised 200 miles I changed to E! That's impressive and very different to C. The traction control gave up trying in third up a hill in the wet! It needs a proper LSD in the wet. On setting E It pulls, and then pulls harder as the cams change and then harder again at around 5000rpm! Wow. Not had this much fun in years (my wife was not amused and I can't understand why I have not noticed any less mpg at all it's no different with more power. I guess because I have more pull and can change gear with less rpm? It's now very quick to pickup/accelerate at low rpm, standard it was very slow and strangled. I do normally drive sensible, seriously I do...

Bluespark Pro+Boost - VW Passat 2.0 Bluemotion (140)

Ordered my BlueSpark Pro on Sunday evening, email to say it will arrive on Tuesday, it arrived, fitted it Wednesday night (today). The BlueSpark Pro was easy to fit, the two difficulties were: (1) removing the engine cover; a quick internet search sorted that and (2) pulling the common rail pressure sensor plug off; easy once I'd worked it out from the instructions.

Before deciding to take the plunge and risk my hard earned on a box of resistors I did a lot of internet searching and reading. I found a lot of discussions about the BlueSpark products, there were a lot negative comments from armchair experts who talked of smoke oil, boxes of resistors and if it could be done the manufacturers would have done it. Hmmmmmm.

But that didn't put me off, I decided to give it a try and if doesn't work I've got 28 days to return it.

Well the first test drive showed an immediate difference; a 140 Passat isn't slow but it now felt much more eager. I've only driven it 20 miles but it feels like a different car. I can't wait to drive my 40 mile route to work tomorrow. As for economy, well who knows I'll find out in time.

So far what a great product.

Tony

Volkswagen Tuning: More Power, Better Response.

Bluespark performance for your Volkswagen

Volkswagen dates back to 1932 where it was state owned under the National Socialist Party as part of the German Labour Front. The formation of Volkswagen as part of Hitler's pet project was the development and mass production of an affordable yet still speedy vehicle that could sell for less than 1,000 Reich Marks. It was to become "The People's Car". The first car for the new venture was haled with the start of WW II when factories were used in the German war effort. After the war ended, with the factory in ruins, the Allies would make Volkswagen the focus of their attempts to resuscitate the German auto industry. By 1949 the company was re-formed as a trust controlled by the West German government.

One of the most iconic cars produced by VW, the Beetle, hardly changed in design since 1935. In the 1960's Volkswagen became the top-selling auto import in the United States. By 1972 the Beetle surpassed the longstanding worldwide production record of 15 million vehicles, set by Ford Motor Company’s legendary Model T. The 1970's also brought about a change in the fundamental design of VW cars. The launch of the Passat, Scirocco, Golf, and Polo saw a chance from round shape and air-cooled, flat-four, rear-mounted engine to front-wheel drive, and water-cooled engines. Volkswagen continued to grow, adding manufactures such as Audi and Seat to their banner.

Though the 80's and 90's Volkswagen became synonymous with German car manufactures. Having a reputation for good build quality and reliability. A second generation Golf won Car of the Year in 1985 with Volkswagen climbing The J.D. Power buyer satisfaction ratings to eighth place. VW added a turbocharger to their 1.6 diesel engine resulting in better performance and improved MPG. The ‘TD’ then became the ‘TDI’ when direct injection technology came on stream in 1991. A third generation Golf was launched in 1992 and won European Car of the Year. In 1994 VW launched a concept car called "Concept One". This was a "retro"-theme based on the original Beetle. Such was the positive response to to this, a New Beetle was developed for production. The end of the 90's would bring about a fourth generation Golf and the launch of a new City Car in the Lupo.

Volkswagen then switched their attention to controlling the pressure and timing of fuel input with its pump-injector or ‘Pumpe Düse’ engine in 2000. The key component of the PD TDi was its piezoelectric injectors which allowed far more precise control of injection timing and fuel delivery. VW finally caved in an adopted a common rail design from 2009. Volkswagen eventually added a SUV to their range of cars in 2002 with the introduction of the Touareg. They would later add the Tiguan, a compact crossover in 2007. In 2015 The United States Environmental Protection Agency issued a notice of violation of the Clean Air Act to VW, starting the Volkswagen emissions scandal, more commonly known as "Dieselgate"

VW Golf Tuning Box:

The VW Golf is probably the most established car from the range. Initially a replacement for the Beetle, the Golf was first introduced in 1974. Now into the seventh generation and still one of the top three cars sold worldwide. We have been able to offer tuning on the Golf since the fifth generation with the Turbo-Charged 2.0 GTI and then Common Rail Diesel Engines when they replaced PD engines in the sixth generation cars.

VW Beetle Chip Tuning:

The Iconic Beetle also known as "The People Car" was the launchpad for Volkswagen. The traditional Beetle ended production in 1979 to be replaced by the VW Golf. After several concept models, and with popular demand, VW launched the new Beetle in 2003. We could only offer tuning to one engine in the New Beetle Generation, this was the 1.8T at 150 and 180PS Petrol turbo. In 2011 VW Launched a re-shaped Beetle. VW used a 1.2, 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 TSI Petrol Turbo engine and a 1.6 and 2.0 TDI, all these could be tuned with our Pro Petrol or Diesel Tuning Units.

VW Jetta Tuning Module:

Extremely popular in America, the Volkswagen Jetta could be seen as an extension to the Golf. The original Jetta was designed by essentially grafting a new "trunk" or boot onto the back of a Golf. With the launch in 1970, the Jetta became the best-selling European car in the United States, Canada and Mexico. And still today it remains a firm favourite. Following a mid generation change in engines VW switched to two engines that we can offer tuning on, a 1.4 TSI and 2.0 TDI Common Rail diesel. Now into the sixth and seventh generation, we are able to offer tuning on 10 petrol turbo and 7 turbo diesel engines for the Volkswagen Jetta.

VW T-Roc Tuning :

With a massive growing market in SUV's, especially at the subcompact level, Volkswagen unveiled a concept in 2014. Originally planned only to be a concept to help develop higher level SUV's, VW eventually launched the TRoc as their fourth production SUV. It was designed to be an offroader with an aggressive design. There are 3 Patrol Turbo and 2 Turbo Diesel engines available in the Troc lineup. All can be tuned with our Pro Petrol and Pro + Boost Tuning Units.
